Pulling Dragon's Teeth

January 10

Huh. I actually deleted an entry. If any of y'all read it... well, good for you. The Missing Entry. If you didn't read it, you didn't miss much. Some melodrama and cattiness on my part, best dispensed with.

The relevant bit is that I'm no longer poetry editor for Speculon. I'm not sure yet what's going to become of the few poems I presently have in my inbox, unanswered; dunno if Speculon is no longer a poetry market at all, or if someone else is taking over the editorship.

I'm sad about this. I liked being a poetry editor. I'll be on the lookout for such opportunities in the future... it gave me real pleasure to help bring poetry to the public.

I have a column upcoming in the February Horror Writer's Association newsletter, the intro of which talks a bit about Speculon, and invites submissions. Apparently it's probably not too late to have the Speculon-related bits excised... I'd hate to have people wasting their time sending me stuff...

I guess that's all. Everything else I want to say is inappropriate for public venting. Why sow more dragon's teeth?

I wouldn't mind getting a poetry editorship in the mail. Or some cookies.
