Startling Revelations
December 8
It's been a productive day, the best kind. I sent poems off to Erin Donahoe for a new chapbook she's doing, which should be very cool. I revised "In a Glass Casket" and sent it off to Strange Horizons -- it's a leaner, faster, better story now, and even if they decide they don't want the rewrite, it's a better story thanks to their editorial feedback. Though, of course, the best-case scenario is that they will like the rewrite, and buy it, and thus give me joy.
(Speaking of SH, it's holiday time, a time for giving, so why not donate some money to them? Support Strange Horizons and, thus, indirectly, support me, and al their other writers! Everybody wins! Not to mention, if you donate, you might get a free copy of mine & Heather's chapbook as a thank-you gift, or even the bizarre collaboration I did with Greg, or something equally marvelous! Details about donating, and the rewards you might receive for your generosity, are here.)
We also signed and numbered about 50 chapbooks, put up the Xmas tree, and moved some furniture to make more room for impending space-filling baby-related things, and I ran many feet of phone line to put the phone in a public space instead of Heather's room. And that's about it for the day so far. Later tonight I'll work on snail-mail Star*Line subs, maybe, and call it a pleasantly productive weekend...
For dinner we had huevos rancheros, which weren't as good as Scott's, but were still be pretty yummy.
I like weekends. And in other news, the sky is still blue.
If you're so inclined, send me mail.
