Whole Lot of Nothing
December 15
No update last night, sorry; and I've been so good! I watched Key Largo with Khrys (unfamiliar with Key Largo? It's the one where Humphrey Bogart is surly, and Lauren Bacall is aloof, and Edward G. Robinson is sinister... oh, never mind. I guess that's not much help). Then we talked until about 1 in the morning and I had to be up early so no Tropism for you guys.
No writing last night, either. Nothing of interest, to be honest. I bought people some cool Xmas presents, but I can't exactly talk about that here. The word from Asimov's is that they put together a "nice spread" for my poem "Bacchanal," and that it's going to appear in the April issue, which hits newstands February 27th. I suggest you get to the newstand early before they sell out!
It's kind of cool, actually. This is the first time I've appeared in a wide-circulation paper magazine, the first time that my random aunts and cousins can go into a bookstore and reasonably expect to find a periodical containing my work. That makes me happy.
I'll probably post another, realer entry tonight. I actually have a couple of subjects I want to write about-- rather than the "Today I ate a muffin. I peed a couple of times. I fell down at work. I ate some food and went to bed." kind of entries I've been making you endure lately.
I know y'all are breathless with anticipation...
If you're so inclined, send me mail.
