...gotta have a job, as the guys in Modest Mouse say.

So, I got a job.

Starting Tuesday I'll be working for Beneficial Designs. Among other things, they design recreational equipment for disabled people. I'll be working as an office assistant and technical writer... I suspect I'll really, really like this job. It's a small company in the hills above Santa Cruz, and the people seem quite lovely.

Other than getting that job, whatever have I been doing? Reading, writing, and revising... I read Matt Ruff's Sewer, Gas & Electric, and thought that was great fun. I'm re-reading Dune, I've got a couple of Year's Best collections, a John Varley collection... I'm keeping myself occupied.

Hmm. I have other things to say. I wish I was going to WorldCon, for example. But time, alas, is short, and I have to meet some people for dinner. I'll write more later.
